Our hostel is adapted for the disabled (a wheelchair ramp, an elevator, a bathroom).
We provide accommodation for school children, teachers, students, as well as adults and organized groups.
In addition, our facility:
- has a convenient location (close to the center, the railway station and the Transfer Center)
- is well connected to other cities and tourist attractions of Silesia
- is located near stores (Aldi, Forum Shopping Center, Żabka)
- gives the opportunity to order meals in the form of catering or use the services of nearby restaurants
We invite all who come to Silesia for tourism, business, training, family, as well as for concerts.

¹ Price is valid during the school year, does not apply to university students. During summer and winter holidays as well as spring and winter holiday break all prices include 8% VAT
² There is no discount for PTSM, IYHF, ISIC ID card holders.
Youth: primary school children, secondary school students, post secondary school students, university students up to 26 years. Valid school or student ID cards are required.
Adults: other persons over 18 years of age without school or student ID cards.
Holders of valid PTSM, IYHF and ISIC international cards are eligible for 20% discount from regular prices.
Payments in cash and by card are not possible on days off work.
Those interested in overnight stays are asked to arrange the date and amount of payment with the hostel office (during the hostel's working hours), and then transfer the amount specified. The transfer should be credited to our account no later than in the morning of the last working day preceding the weekend.
In the transfer title write your last name and first name and phrase “overnight stay at the hostel on...”

Our hostel can be reached by public transport buses from the Transfer Center, located on the other side of the train station, and from the bus stop located in front of the station building.

The stop on Dąbrowskiego Street is about 300 m from the hostel.
Access from the railway station
A4 bus, departure from position 1 (direction Gliwice Zajezdnia), get off at the third stop, opposite the ZSTI school building and the dormitory building where the hostel is located.
On foot
The hostel is located at a distance of about 1.5 km from the railway station. The walk takes about 20-25 minutes.
Ślązaczek youth hostel - ACCESSIBILITY
1. accessibility of the building entrance and passing through control
(a) There are five entrances to the building from the street side. The main entrance has a ramp for the disabled and allows access to the building for people with moderate disability. The remaining entrances act solely as emergency exits without possibility of use. The building features additional entrance accessible only to the apartment residents.
b) Main entrance from the side of Krakusa street – both first and second hall doors are opened manually, while the third are electromagnet operated. All doors allow collision-free entry to the building.
c) Information is located in the reception desk of the boarding house. The room is located on the left side of the main entrance. There are no control areas in the building. Reception staff acts as control.
2 Accessibility of corridors, stairs and lifts
There are two lifts in the building, including one with disabled access, serving the ground floor and floors 1 to 5. The lifts do not go to the sixth floor. The stairs in the building are not accessible to people with disabilities. There is a disabled toilet on the second, fourth and fifth floor.
Wheelchair users can access the corridors, but they cannot access our living rooms and and utility rooms due to narrow door passage (80cm) and inadequate physical dimensions.
3. description of adaptations such as ramps, platforms, voice information, induction loops
(a) Floor plans are available. No tactile/voice information. Floor plans can be obtained from the reception staff located at the main entrance. tel. 32/230-68-31 ext. 62.
(b) The building does have any devices to serve the hearing impaired. Accessibility is ensured through the support of the reception staff, tutors who work on the first, third, fourth and fifth floor, a psychologist located on the sixth floor and administrative staff of the hostel - second floor.
4 Information related to the use parking spaces for the disabled.
There are no disabled parking spaces in front of the building.
5. Information on the right to enter with an assistance dog and possible justified restrictions
In accordance with the regulations of the boarding house SSM ‘Ślązaczek’, animals (except for assistance and guide dogs) are not allowed into the building.
6. Information on the possibility of using on-site or online sign language interpreter
Polish sign language interpreter is not available in the building.
